Week ten of Strictly Come Dancing had very high standards, the magnificent seven gave their performances their all!
At the top of this week’s leader board was Helen and Aljaž, their incredible Viennese Waltz along with their Quickstep results flew them into the grand position at the top.
The judges were so impressed with their Waltz that they earned their first ten of the series, three of them in fact! They got a great score of 39, but the Quickstep-a-thon gained them another seven points as they came first place, with a grand total of 46.
Jay and Aliona’s incredibly intense Tango, along with an extra three points from the Quickstep left them with an amazing total of 41 along with second place on the board. Judges, Darcey and Bruno awarded the couples ten, which were highly deserved.
Georgia and Giovanni bagged themselves a total of 39 points, which were 33 for their Paso Doble which received mix views from the judges, however a second place in the Quick Step gained them an extra six points. This grabbed them third place on this weeks leader board.
Katie and Anton’s Argentine Tango originally left this lovely pair towards the bottom of the leader board, however, third place in the Quickstep-a-thon helped them gain a total score of 37 along with fourth place on this week’s board.
Fifth place this week was given to Kellie and Kevin. For their fiery Salsa, they received a great 34 from the judges, and they managed to bag a further two points in the Quickstep-a-thon.
Anita and Gleb’s Rumba failed to impress the judges, however, I adored it! Head judge, Len criticized it, but praised Anita for her characterization. They gained themselves fourth place in the Quickstep which helped them avoid bottom of the board, as they had a great total of 35.
The bottom of this week’s leader board was given to Peter and Janette, as their American Smooth didn’t seem to smoothly impress the judges, earning them a score of 31. Sadly, they also got last place in the Quickstep-a-thon, gaining only one extra point.
Sunday night was results night, as usual it was opened with a great and lively performance from the professionals, they cleaned it right up with their launderette style routine!
The couples in this week’s dance off was Peter and Janette, and shockingly Kellie and Kevin who faced their second dance off. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to the lovely Peter and Janette who will both be missed.
