The glitz and glamour of the ballroom at Strictly Come Dancing is still in full throttle with amazing turns, flicks and kicks! We were taken to Italy and we got to see Jeremy Vine on a horse and we even saw the cleaning staff!
Week seven was not a disappointment!
First up was Peter Andre and partner Janette Manrara with their very fast paced yet enthralling Charleston. They scored an incredible 38 points, which is the highest score of the series so far. Judges Len Goodman and Darcey Bussell awarded them their first ten!
Second place on the leader board with an amazing score of 35 was awarded to Georgia May Foote and her partner Giovanni Pernice. They gave us a sneaky trip around Italy with their fiery Samba.
Joint third on the leader board this week were Anita Rani and partner Gleb Savchenko with their lively Jive, they wiped the floor with their incredible routine. Also joint third were Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani, they danced the first Argentine Tango of the series. The Tango seemed to be highly praised as judge Bruno Tonioli said;“The feet were hitting the floor like laser-guided missiles!”
Securing fourth place this week was Kellie Bright along with partner Kevin Clifton, their Waltz was very captivating, it scored a great 32 from the judges.
Fifth place this week was awarded to Helen George and Aljaž Skorjanec with their incredible Rumba, it was very emotional and very captivating to watch. They were awarded a total score of 31.
Next, in sixth place were Jamelia and partner Tristan MacManus, their Viennese Waltz was very promising it scored them a total of 28.
Down at the bottom end of the leader board in seventh place were Katie Derham and partner Anton Du Beke, their theatrical themed Quickstep didn’t seem to impress the judges and they scored a 26, however Len Goodman branded it to be a “Fantastic performance” and I very much agree!
In eight place was Jeremy Vine along with partner Karen Clifton, their Western themed Tango didn’t seem to sit well with the judges and the were awarded a score of 21. However, judge Len complimented Jeremy by saying “I love watching you”.
Last but not least, at the bottom of this weeks leader board were Carol Kirkwood along with her partner Pasha Kovalev. She had a total of 17. The judges didn’t seem to be very impressed with her American Smooth however, Craig mentioned it was a “Vast improvement from last week”.
Sunday night was results night, the professionals danced a perfect routine in honor of Remembrance Day.
We had to say goodbye to another couple. Surprisingly this week Kellie and Kevin were in the dance off, this surprised a lot of people! The second couple was Carol and Pasha.
Both couples gave it their all to fight to earn their place back in the ballroom. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Carol and Pasha. We will miss Carol and her smile and happiness she brings onto the show.
