    Strictly Come Dancing – Week 8 Verdict

    Yes, the glamour and sparkle of the ballroom was indeed, again back in full force for it’s eighth week! Blackpool is just around the corner.

    This week we saw Georgia May Foote along with partner Giovanni Pernice spring t0 the top of this weeks leader board with their highly incredible Charleston, scoring an amazing 39 points from the judges! This was highly well deserved and definitely praised by the judges.

    This weeks second place was a double! Given to the lovely Helen George and partner Aljaž Skorjanec, their very entrancing Tango, this amazing dance scored well with the judges. Along with, Peter Andre and Janette Manrara who danced a very beautiful Viennese Waltz. Both couples scored an incredible 34 points.

    Third place on the leader board this week was given to the wonderful Kellie Bright and partner Kevin Clifton. Their original 90s inspired Samba was loved by Craig and Bruno for it’s originality. This landed them a great score of 33.

    Anita Rani along with her partner Gleb Savchenko gained fourth place on this weeks leader board with their show opening Quickstep. This scored a great 32 from the judges.

    Fifth place this week was awarded to Katie Derham and Anton Du Beke. Their great Rumba scored them a classy 31 from the judges, which is the highest Rumba score of the series so far!

    Awarded sixth place this week was Jay McGuiness and partner Aliona Vilani, their emotional Foxtrot rewarded them with a fine score of 30.

    Seventh place on the board was Jamelia and partner Tristan MacManus, their upbeat Samba scored them a great 26 from the judges.

    Lastly, eighth place on this weeks leader board was given to Jeremy Vine and partner Karen Clifton. Their entertaining Quickstep scored them a 21 from the judges.

    The Sunday night results show was again opened with another incredible routine from the professionals. It was also time for the dance off. Jamelia and Tristan were in their fourth dance off along with Jeremy and Karen.

    Sadly, we had to say goodbye to the wonderful Jeremy Vine, he will be incredibly missed by the fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestants and the viewers. The happiness and entertainment he brings to the show each week will be missed by everyone.
