The Official Charts Company this week announced the biggest selling singles this century by boybands and girlbands! And according to their sales data, Take That, and Atomic Kitten topped their respective charts.
The Official Charts claim that Take That’s 2007 hit ‘Rule The World’ is officially the biggest selling single by a boyband over the past 100 years, beating the likes of One Direction, and Westlife.
Not only is their ‘Rule The World’ single the biggest selling of the century by an all male group they also appear on the list a remarkable three more times with their hits ‘Patience’, The Flood’, and ‘Greatest Day’.
While the girlbands are ruled by Atomic Kitten, whose 2001 hit release ‘Whole Again’ is officially the biggest selling track by an all female band this century. While All Saints, Girls Aloud, and Little Mix also appear on the list.
