“The song’s admirable and heartfelt main message of finding the one person you can call to keep you at your best self is showcased beautifully in the film-clip as we follow two young badass girls as they skateboard fearlessly while “busting up the princess myth”. – A Music Blog Yea?
LA based performing artist Tara Macri has officially released the behind the scenes video for her power pop single ” Prettiest Girl In The Room ” via A Music Blog Yea?.
“[The video gives fans] an exclusive behind the scenes look at the fun and games that took place while her and her team created the music video.” – A Music Blog Yea?
The song’s core message of finding the one person you can call to keep you at your best self comes alive through two talented young skateboarders from The Pink Helmet Posse, one rough & tumble pinata, and a whole lot of glitter. “The fashion and look in the video was inspired by Audrey Hepburn,” says Tara, “We were going for a modern day Audrey Hepburn look. I love her uniqueness & classiness and have always been a huge fan of hers.”
Tara collaborated with producer Greg Collins (U2, Gwen Stefani) and the track was mixed by multi Grammy award winner Chris Lord Alge. When asked about working with Tara, Alge expressed “[Tara has] pure vocal emotion mixed with the best from the past and the best from the future… true honesty.”
Tara has recently been added to the 2015 lineup for Live In The Vineyard – where she will be playing alongside acts such as Rob Thomas, Barenaked Ladies, Adam Lambert, and many more.
Tara is no stranger to the spotlight – she’s starred in the critically acclaimed Broadway production of HAIRSPRAY, followed by a performance at the famed Hollywood Bowl alongside Nick Jonas, Drew Carey, and John Stamos. The devotion to her music has sent Tara on a journey from Toronto to New York, Chicago to Los Angeles, and along the way has developed and refined the art of contemporary pop music.
