Now, this is fierce! Tatianna continues to release brilliant songs and music videos, proving that she deserves a place in the music industry, with the release of the single and music video, “Hurt My Feelings”. Released last Friday, the song marks Tatianna’s first release of 2019, and follows up her feature on ZEETS’s song “Place I Want To Go”.
Tatianna, real name Joey Santolini, is best known for competing in the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she came fourth, as well as the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars, where she came sixth. In the latter show, she went viral with Alyssa Edwards when RuPaul decided to save them both after an epic lip-sync to Rihanna’s “Shut Up And Drive”. She has since been focusing on her career, having dropped her debut album, titled T1, just last year. This new single, “Hurt My Feelings”, does not appear on the said album, and so it could be the first single from her upcoming sophomore album.
The song was produced, mixed, and mastered by Mark “Ariel” Barrie. As for the music video, that has been directed by Assaad Yacoub with Geoff George acting as director of photography. It was produced by Alex Lampsos and features a range of guest stars, who are Laganja Estranja, Rhea Litre, Leon Espinoza, Jojo Guadz, Taylor Vusek, and Christina Benthall. Devin Walker choreographed the number and Tatianna are joined by dancers Clarisse Biagi, Hennessy Rubio, Mahan Taleshpour, and Eliezer Martinez.

In a tweet, recently, Tatianna stated that the song is about a few people “who have come in and out of my life”; we get that, we’ve all been in that sort of situation where someone just ends up hurting us whether that’s a friend, a lover, a family member, or someone else entirely. It’s one heart-hitting track, that’s easily relatable to many people around the world. Vocally, Tatianna brings it, showcasing how much this song means to her, so much so that we believe every word she is singing and we can’t help but sing along.
I love all the aspects of making music. the visuals, recording…but I think my fave part is writing. HMF is about a few ppl who have come in and out of my life. To see ppl connect with the song and lyrics is really something special and means a lot! ??????

We simply adore the music video, which is a set in a prison. The visual starts in an interrogation room, Tatianna is a sexed-up detective currently interviewing a suspect who has been handcuffed, by singing her song. It seems more like sexual tension, though. Towards the end of this scene, a short dance sequence occurs which Tatianna nails, managing to keep the spotlight on her throughout, and we are living for it. The next scene sees her dressed up sexy-smart with a police hat too, sitting behind a desk, this is intercut with another scene where she’s in an open-office where the other police staff are having difficulty with people who seem to be giving statements. Once again, the choreography at the end of this scene is on fire, and full of sass and confidence. The final scene sees the suspect being taken to a cell; soon enough, Tatianna appears ready to escalate the sexual tension that started in the interrogation room, only he’s playing with her so that he can grab the keys and escape, leaving her locked up in the cell.
“Hurt My Feelings” is available to download and stream right now. We hope that more new music is on its way from this awesome drag queen as this song and music video are fierce!
