The American Music Awards (AMAs) delivered a star-studded night with performances from Carrie Underwood, Cardi B, Panic! At the Disco, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift and many more.
Tracee Ellis Ross came back to host the awards on ABC.
Along with performing her hit, “I Did Something Bad,” Taylor Swift took home four awards including: Pop/Rock Album, Tour of the Year, Pop/Rock Female Artist, and Artist of the Year, making her the most decorated female artist in AMAs history. She beat Whitney Houston’s record for the most AMAs won by a female artist.

Not only did Swift make history and break a record but she was the only female nominee in the Album and Artist categories and won both. She also won in all of the categories she was nominated for. This brings her total to 23, one less than Michael Jackson.
Swift opened up the show, as we previously reported, with the tour version of her song “I Did Something Bad”. She even brought out a large snake to accompany her. Swift did not come to play. This was her first awards show performance in nearly three years and her fifth time performing at the AMAs.
The show, however, bleeped out her iconic line, “If a man talks s#!t, then I owe him nothing…”
Before the show started, Swift wowed in a disco esque outfit on the red carpet.

She posted on Instagram a bit about her political beliefs and told people to register to vote for the upcoming election.
Swift got political in her speech for Artist of the Year too saying “These awards are voted for by the people and so is something else. Make sure you vote on November 6th.”
Is it cool that she said all that? Of course it is. @taylorswift13 accepts the award for #AMAs Artist of the Year! ? #TaylorSwiftAMAs pic.twitter.com/EmTzjlB8uH
