On Thursday, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, thousands of fans gathered to watch Taylor Swift perform her first of three shows. If you’ve been to any of her previous tours, you probably know how it goes; lights, hit songs, flying over the crowd, running through the crowd but this time it was more extra and extreme. Her reputation is nothing but perfect and exquisite.
With openers such as Camila Cabello and Charli XCX that added to the women power as well Haley Kiyoko being a special guest, the show was full of women empowerment.
Swift opened with her song “Ready For It?” getting the crowd ready for what would be a night full of memories, marking the opening the night of her lead up to the 10th show she will have played at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, July 28th. Swift combined old and new songs, mashing hits like “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me” together as well as “Bad Blood” and “Should Have Said No.” Even though she claims the old Taylor is dead, she plays plenty of classic hits such as “Shake It Off,” “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and more.
The show itself took two hours and included giant snakes, flying over the crowd to a stage closer to the back of the stadium and then running through the crowd to another stage. Production of the show was fantastic. There was a screen that looked like it was two giant big screens but it was really two sets of three screens that opened at parts revealing her band.
Overall the concert was full of stylish outfits, fulfilling our wildest dreams on the Reputation Tour. This tour is a must see as it shows Taylor Swift’s new edgy side that we have never seen before.
