Cardcaptor Sakura (or known to much of the western hemisphere as Cardcaptors) was a popular anime back in the very late to early 2000’s that was applauded for its girl magician plot and fascinating visuals. It’s still pretty popular today with many anime fans and is still widely regarded as a great go-to anime.
Today, we’re gonna show you ten Cardcaptor capture scenes we love and still love to re-watch every day. Check out our list!
10) The Fight Card
Introducing new character Meilin Rei to the story plot, this card capture showcased the Power Card and a bit of action from Li and Sakura as well.
9) The Illusion Card
A more mature and emotional part of the Cardcaptor Sakura (Cardcaptors) series, the Illusion card makes people see what they want to see, or expect to see. A tricky card that propels illusions, Sakura was luckily able to overcome the cards power.
8) The Sword Card
This capture is viewed as one of the most dangerous, especially when you have a sword that can completely take control over the owner and make them an expert swordsman. With the power of Illusion, Sakura was able to dispel her friend from the cards control.
7) The Maze Card
The Maze card trapped the Cardcaptors crew, but one lady with the power of a mysterious instrument helped them escape.
6) The Shot Card
When a numerous amount of cards appear in one of town’s most popular stores, Meilin accidentally takes a real life Clow card, posing a dangerous threat to all.
5) The Create Card
Imagine having a magical card that would allow you to make all your writing and imaginations come to life? Well, that’s where this card comes in. In the end, Sakura ends up battling a HUGE dragon. Does it end up in a successful capture? Watch below!
4) The Erase Card
Caves are straight up creepy and when people start disappearing, then you know something is absolutely wrong. Check out how Sakura overcame her partial fear of ghosts (kind of) and captured this slick card.
3) The Mirror Card
Meeting your identical may sound cool, but not when that identical person starts acting in a bizarre behavior and hurting your own friends and family. Known as a Helix type card, this capture relied heavily on Sakura’s magical instincts.
2) The Water Card
One of Sakura’s first captures (and second elemental capture after the Windy Card), the watery card posed danger due to its threatening moves. It took Windy and a smart Freezing tactic to possess and capture this water beast!
1) The Fiery Card
Fire burns, and that’s a no-no especially when there’s numerous people around. The series most unique capture that required not one, but TWO allies to work together. Despite being a risky move, it ended up saving the town from further destruction.
