One of the most exciting bands to come out of the indie rock scene lately is Utah-via Hawaii outfit The Moss. Their latest unveiling is the hard-hitting alt rock meets pop banger “Insomnia”.
With “Insomnia”, the four-piece has crafted a relatable song all about infatuation and the honeymoon period that comes with falling in love. Confiding, “Insomnia” is a “bittersweet song about passing the point in a relationship where you can’t sleep at night when you are away from them.” With crisp guitar chords and an attention-grabbing chorus, “insomnia” is a must-listen. The band’s raw and exuberant delivery highlights delicious melodies and throbbing bass lines, not overcrowded by the minimal production.
The Moss are a band that are known to not only span genres but also oceans. Starting in Utah and soon moving to Hawaii, the four-piece perform a thrilling live show, often conjuring their audience into a frenzy. The band confides, “We pride ourselves on being a band people want to see live.”
