British pop/rock band, The Scheme, have joined the Jeans for Genes charity as celebrity ambassadors. The trio is joining hosts such as Kate Moss and Nicola Roberts at the GAP event.

On Friday, September 23rd, the annual grant programme will take place and The Scheme will be performing in GAP stores in the UK.

The money raised on the Jeans for Genes Day fund a range of initiatives that improve the lives of children affected by a genetic disorder. There are currently over 6.000 diagnosed genetic disorders. It is estimated that one in 25 children is affected by one. This means that there are over 30.000 babies and children in the UK who are diagnosed each year.

To help Jeans for Genes, The Scheme have also chosen to donate all of the proceeds from the first month’s sale of their upcoming single ‘Can’t Stop’ to the charity. ‘Can’t Stop’ is off their forthcoming EP ‘Jerome Heights’. and the single will also be released on Friday.

To find out more about how to get involved, go to Jeans for Genes’ website.
