The Weeknd keeps surprising us with new music and constantly keeps his fans on the edge of their seats with numerous teases for 2018.
Instead of just dropping one single off his new project, the Grammy Award-winning artist decided to come through with six new songs in the form of a new EP. It is titled My Dear Melancholy and it has already made its mark on Spotify.
The Weeknd’s Call Out My Name is the largest debut on Spotify of 2018 so far. It has stacked up nearly 3.5 million streams within the first day of its release and he only gave just under 24 hours notice about it.
The EP was produced by Marz, Frank Dukes, Daheala, Mike WiLL Made-It, Gesaffelstein, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Skrillex. Its executive producers were Frank Dukes and The Weeknd himself.
The rapper/singer kept his new project mostly under wraps but it is clearly a teaser for what he has in store for his fans for the rest of 2018.
