Today marks three years since Ariana released her single ‘The Way’ from her first album Yours Truly!
Known for her ditzy and adorable character from the show Victorious.; ‘The Way’ highlights the start of Ariana’s professional music career. After spending 24 weeks in the Top 40, the single certified as triple platinum. Among her many achievements, so far, she has become the first artist in the United States to have every lead single from her three albums debuting in the top 10!
‘The Way’ was only the beginning of her many achievements. Her second album My Everything just became double platinum and her latest single ‘Dangerous Woman’ reached number one on iTunes in 30 countries on the day of release. Ariana will undoubtedly continue to snatch all our wigs with her highly anticipated album Dangerous Woman.
Ariana is mostly known for the catchy, popular song ‘Problem’ featuring Iggy Azalea. This song alone won many awards- including an MTV Video Music Award for best Pop Video. Following the lead single was another unforgettable dance song, ‘Break Free’, which reached number one iTunes charts shortly after it’s release.
Performing her music at many events and own tours means all our ears get to hear her beautiful vocal range. The Listening Sessions gave fans an exclusive performance of songs from Yours Truly across the United States. Then, she performed them at 81 shows around the world on her Honeymoon Tour. We can only expect something greater for her next tour!
Her fame is ever-growing with 64 million followers on Instagram alone! Not only does she have breathtaking vocals, but she uses her voice positively too. Notably, Ariana worked alongside MAC creating her own VIVA GLAM collection. All the proceeds go towards the HIV/AIDS fund in order to help people suffering from the infections.
She continually supports the LBGTQ+ community and expresses her love for everyone no matter who they love. She headlined at the 2015 New York Pride Week and addressed her fans in the community at shows, highlighting her open support.
The themes in her songs alone are empowering. Her latest single ‘Dangerous Woman’ addresses the importance of confidence and being you. The underlying message of ‘Focus’ is focusing on each other’s beliefs, rather than our appearances:
