Tia Kofi indulges in her love of Eurovision this week with the unveiling of her latest single “Satellite” – an edgy, 80’s influenced remake of Lena’s 20210 winning Eurovision song for Germany.
Co-written by John Gordon and Julie Frost, with fresh production from London based creative Michelangelo, Tia’s interpretation of the much-loved quirky pop bop, sees the tracks super catchy melody given a sultry makeover – a move that successfully enables the “Outside In” singer to really make the song her own.
Musically much darker than the original, the tracks storytelling lyrics seemingly take on new meaning also, as layered harmonies and synth sequences crash across the top of Michelangelo’s irrepressible beat to create a brooding electro-pop banger that serves as another brilliant addition to Kofi’s already impressive discography.
