Ralph Lauren has been known for including young and upcoming artists for their Denim and Supply campaigns, and this year they’ve decided to include some pretty incredible singers from today’s generation.
Cody Simpson and R&B singer, Tinashe, were recruited to sing their own version of “Express Yourself”, a famous hit in the 1970s.
The two bring a fresh spin on the song, tapping into their soulful and unique voices to propel Ralph Lauren’s Denim and Supply fall campaign.
The best part? They filmed a music video! Set in the historic Electric Lady Studios in New York City where legends like Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones have recorded, the two singers capture their studio session in a laid back style vibing off of one another.
Also seen in this video are models Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid, who posed and danced along to the featured track. Yes, Bella is the older sister of Simpson’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. However, in a People Magazine interview, Simpson claims that working with the up and coming model was “strange” but “cool”.
