Tom Hardy is keeping busy once again! After blowing us all away on the big screen in 2015 in roles such as Max Rockatansky (Mad Max: Fury Road), Reggie and Ronnie Kray (Legend) and of course, John Fitzgerald (The Revenant) for which he received an Oscar nomination, Hardy is heading to our TVs in 2017 in the BBC’s new series Taboo which will also air on the American channel FX.
Tom is not only starring in the eight episode British-American series, he is also the executive producer alongside Ridley Scott and Steven Knight who worked on Peaky Blinders, which Tom was also part of. Not only that, he also developed the entire project based on a story he devised with his father, Chips.
The series will be set in 1814 and we will see the Oscar-nominated actor play James Delaney, an adventurer who uncovers a dark family conspiracy when he returns home from Africa with the aim of avenging his father’s death.

We are very excited for this because any project involving Tom Hardy is always something thrilling to watch. You never see the same thing twice and as an actor who challenges himself constantly in new ways, he always gives you fresh and intriguing performances.
Taboo will also star Oona Chaplin, Jonathan Pryce and Michael Kelly – currently known to most as Doug Stamper in House of Cards.
