The voice of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Tommy Blaize, has announced the release of his debut solo album, Life & Soul, set to be released on 1st December 2017.
The multi-skilled musician has quickly become a show favourite amongst viewers and performers. He’s worked with some of the world’s most renowned artists, including Stevie Wonder, Queen and Amy Winehouse.
His powerful yet sensitive performances have etched his voice into the public consciousness and has helped create some of the most memorable TV moments of recent times. Now, we can hear his incredible voice more than just weekly.
His debut solo album is a collection of recordings of soul classics such as ‘You’ve Got A Friend’, ‘Ain’t No Mountain High’ and ‘What’s Going On’, all reworked by Tommy.
Speaking on his project he said: ”It’s not often the biggest record company on the planet asks a new artist to record an album of their favourite classic soul songs. When the chance came along, of course I jumped in right at the deep end.”
