Against The Current are a rock/pop band from Poughkeepsie, NY. The band consists of members Chrissy Costanza, Daniel Gow and Will Ferri. Over the years Against The Current have treated us to several covers and here at CelebMix we wanted to share our top 5 favourites.

    1. Uptown Funk

This is a cover of Mark Ronson’s hit single featuring Bruno Mars, a song that has over one billion views on YouTube. However, this cover doesn’t need that many views to be one of our favourites. Against The Current’s cover features American rock band Set It Off with both Chrissy Costanza and Cody Carson singing vocals. It’s not just the phenomenal vocals that we love about this video, but seeing both of the bands’ dance moves.

    2. Red

Another one of Against The Current’s amazing covers is of Taylor Swift’s song “Red”. This cover may be almost 2 years old but it still makes it into our top 5 covers. Chrissy’s vocals mixed with the instruments equals perfection.

    3. She Looks So Perfect

Against The Current also covered 5 Seconds Of Summer’s hit single “She Looks So Perfect”. The cover is all round amazing with remarkable vocals from Chrissy and outstanding instrument playing from Will and Dan.

    4. I Wanna Get Better

Additionally, Against The Current have done a cover of “I Wanna Get Better” by Bleachers. This cover was done with American electropop singer-songwriter Jordan Witzigreuter more commonly known as The Ready Set. Both Chrissy’s and Jordan’s voice combine together to make something beautiful. Although the cover in general gives off a different vibe to the original due to the fact it’s mainly piano based with an acoustic guitar, it’s a good kind of different and doesn’t ruin the song.

    5. Not Over You

Finally, the last cover on our top 5 Against The Current covers is their cover of Gavin DeGraw’s song “Not Over You”. The cover is performed with singer-songwriter Alex Goot. Overall, the cover is beautifully done with various instruments which all contribute well. Adding Alex’s and Chrissy’s vocals to the mix makes it a spectacular cover.
