As most of you Ed Sheeran lovers know, the world’s favorite red head is currently on hiatus, (and yes the sound you just heard was the shattering of over a million girls hearts). But never the less, we decided to put together a combination of our top favorite Instagram posts because we really do miss him dearly!

Well we definitely wouldn’t consider this one of our FAVORITE posts, but it is his most recent and he’s just so cute that we couldn’t ignore it!
19. Ed as Chewbacca 
“Thanks Star Wars people for the gift but mostly for the address label.” To be honest, we didn’t know how bad we needed Ed as Chewbacca until he uploaded this photo. What a lovely day all around, huh?
18. 24 Hours with Ed Sheeran
Not only can we always rely on Billboard to have the most amazing covers, but they totally confirmed that Ed is without a doubt our soulmate. Where can we sign up to pig out with him?
17. Dr. Sheeran
“I graduated today, I am now officially Dr. Sheeran.” There may be times when you look at a photo and think “interesting outfit choice.” But with Ed, you can’t help but smile. He is a diamond in the rough for sure. Congratulations to you, Dr. Sheeran!
16. Jamie Lawson
Here’s a fun fact, Ed has his own record label! Incredible, right? It’s called Gingerbread Man Records and his first signing goes out to a guy named Jamie Lawson; who opened for One Direction all throughout their European leg of the On The Road Again tour. Ed posted this picture captioning it- “Very proud moment, my first signing sitting at #1 on the UK iTunes. So happy. If you haven’t checked it out yet please do x”. Support is always lovely to see. We’re just as happy for the both of you!
15. Remember…that time… 
One of the many qualities we love about Mr. Sheeran is his sense of humor! He didn’t give a caption (what would you even caption this?!), he just uploaded the photo leaving it to the fans interpretation. Quite hysterical, Ed. Kudos.
14. His announcement for the MTV EMA’s
How many of you suddenly became more interested in the MTV EMAs once you found out Ed Sheeran was going to be the host?! (It’s okay, we won’t tell), but it’s no surprise that he did a fantastic job! It certainly was another moment that needed to be added to the long list of how proud we are of him. If you didn’t have time to watch, we definitely suggest doing so! You won’t regret it.
13. Ed Sheeran + Chris Martin = Happiness
Back in late September of 2015, Ed was one of the many artists that took part in the Global Citizen Festival. Global Citizen is a community full of people who are driven to learn about and take action on some of the world’s biggest challenges; they help fight against poverty and inequality around the world and brainstorm ideas that help make life more sustainable for those in need. It’s truly amazing when we see artists, such as Ed and Chris Martin, who take action in supporting far beyond the world they’re constantly surrounded by.
12. Paul Simon 
“Loved having Paul Simon at the show today, one of my all time heroes and such a sweet dude.” Wait… did… that… just…? Paul Simon AND Ed Sheeran? Together?! Yup, we definitely lost a piece of our soul this day. It’s the perfect combination of our past and our present smashed into one! They look so deep in conversation that it always makes us wonder what they were talking about.
11. “Teddysdaytoday”
“Take a picture of this on Snapchat and it lets you follow me. How exciting.” It is very exciting, Ed! We love and miss your crazy snapchats.
10. Touring
For our avid Instagram users, you guys definitely know of Ed’s infamous crowd photos. He posted a picture of the crowd for every show he performed in 2015. WITHOUT fail. Cute, right? Oh, and we must give a quick shoutout to the girl who’s holding the “Ed will U runaway with me” sign. Absolute legend.
9. Stripped & Unstripped

“My new country record ‘Beer, boots and boobs’ out now in all good record stores.” – “The stripped version of ‘Beer, boots and boobs’ is out next month.” These were uploaded as separate Instagram posts, but why not kill two birds with one stone? Going back to why we love Ed’s sense of humor, this really killed us. We’re still waiting for this song… just kidding!
8. Ginger-Ed Sandwich
“You know you’ve made it when…” We can’t lie, these seriously look delicious. And how cute is it that they tried to match up with some of his tattoos? We’d love to try one!
7. Guinness World Records, say what?
They certainly weren’t lying, it is officially amazing! We can’t imagine that feeling of accomplishment. We’re so proud of you, Ed.
6. The Tour Bus
It’s no secret that touring for months and months on end is both exciting and exhausting, but check out how wicked Ed’s bus looks! He looks so angelic all comfy like that. We definitely wouldn’t mind cozying up right next to him.
5. We love pie

4. Drunk Ed
Drunk Ed is a hysterical Ed. And when drunk Ed is drunk, he uploads amazing photos like these. And when drunk Ed uploads amazing photos like these, we are extremely happy people!
3. Looking for a musical guest?
“Just surprised this lovely couples first dance. Available for weddings, birthdays, and bar mitzvah’s, contact your local supermarket for details”. So the day you get married is claimed to be the best day of your life, right? Now imagine on the best day of your life, you’re surprised by Ed Sheeran. We can’t even find the words on how selfless he is. Where can we sign up for this?!
2. Ed & Kids 
It’s bad enough we can’t handle Ed as a whole, but with kids? Forget it. There’s no hope. It’s absolutely precious and is not good for our health! (Just kidding, it absolutely is. He should do it more often).
1. Simplicity
Ed loves to post a lot of photos. 994 to be exact, but none of them make our hearts melt more than the most simplistic ones. Mainly because they are the most honest. And nine out of ten times, they’re normally candids that are captured in a moment where he’s in his truest form doing what he loves most… singing. It doesn’t require all the photoshop editing, nor does it require any stress of finding the perfect pose. It portrays who you are and what you love, and that’s why this is our top favorite post of his.
We sincerely hope Ed is enjoying his time off away from the world, and are eagerly looking forward to his return!
