Netflix loves to treat us to some incredible original material. From Orange Is The New Black to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the streaming service can keep us entertained around the clock. On October 12, the site will be unveiling something a little different – a brand new concert film featuring none other than Justin Timberlake!
Justin Timberlake and The Tennessee Kids is an exclusive up close and personal concert film, filmed at the final show of the singer’s 20/20 Experience World Tour at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena in January last year. The concert film rounds up Timberlake’s 134-show tour, which had him and his crew on the road for two years.
The trailer shows Timberlake and his band getting ready backstage for the live performance, before launching into a goosebump-inducing performance of ‘Mirrors’. There is plenty of dance moves and fun and games to be had, both on stage and off. Also, seeing Timberlake’s reaction to the crowd singing back to him will no doubt make you a tad emotional.
Check out the trailer below.
The concert film has been directed by Jonathan Demme, best known for The Silence of the Lambs. Despite sounding like a bit of an odd partnership, Demme has worked on plenty of concert documentaries in the past, with Talking Heads and Neil Young among his credits.
This Netflix original is a must see for any Justin Timberlake fan, and in all honesty, we’re already counting down to October 12 when we can relive the 20/20 Experience all over again.
