Released back in October, ‘Something to Give Each Other’ received rave reviews from critics, with The Guardian hailing the project as being “one of this year’s best and most distinctive pop albums”, and Rolling Stone describing the collection as a “pristine slice of pop heaven”.
Debuting at #4 in the UK, and #20 on the Billboard 200 in America (with 31,000 album-equivalent units, including 16,000 pure album sales), the record landed at #1 in Australia, making it Sivan’s highest-charting studio album in his home country.
The albums lead single ‘Rush’, garnered two GRAMMY nominations and last month Sivan walked away with 4 ARIA Awards – including Best Solo Artist and Song of the Year for ‘Rush’.
Commenting on the album upon it’s release, the ‘Bloom’ singer said: “This record is my something to give you – a kiss on a dance-floor, a date turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party, after party after after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, sisterhood, friendship. All that.”
