Six years ago, Troye Sivan came out to his family and he took to Twitter to say how proud he is. Twitter users started a hashtag to support him, #TroyeCameOut6YearsAgoParty.

He did not come out on the Internet until 2014. Troye posted a video to his YouTube channel.
Since this video, Troye has released an album, Blue Neighborhood. Youth, the second single off the album was number twenty-three on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was also number one on the US Billboard Top Dance Club Songs. Troye performed Youth on Ellen, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Troye is currently on tour promoting the album. He is touring Canada, United States, Europe and Asia. He also performed at several festivals. The tour ends in September 2016.
