Earlier this week, Troye Sivan, Australian pop superstar and YouTube sensation, was on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Sivan participated in a multitude of ways, including performing his hit single “Youth,” participating in a sketch, and talking a bit with Corden about his music and life in general.
Troye Sivan and James Corden
On his first “real talk-show” interview, Sivan discussed the huge success of his single, “Youth.” According to Sivan, to celebrate “Youth” hitting the Top 25 on the Billboard 100, he “ate some sushi” despite the fact that he’s allergic.
Talking about going back to his home in Perth, “no one cares” that he’s famous. Sivan also tells the story of how he helped a girl named Kelly come out as bisexual to her mom at his Washington DC concert.
“James Corden Crashes Troye Sivan’s House Party”
The sketch that Troye Sivan did with James Corden features Corden knocking on the door of Sivan’s house party in his music video “Youth” and yelling at him to turn down the music.
The sketch is quite humorous, with Sivan mistaking Corden for Kevin James, the actor in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop.” It ends with Sivan promising Corden to turn down the music, while Corden walks away muttering about “the youth of today.”

Last but not least, Troye Sivan performed “Youth” on stage. A song about “the joy in naivety and being lost,” “Youth” just broke into the Top 25 on the Billboard 100 charts, marking Sivan’s first song to do so. It currently sits at #34 on the Global Top 50 Playlist on Spotify, and is taking over radios worldwide.
