The UK country music scene is officially the fastest-growing market of music right now and with superstars such as Ward Thomas, The Shires, Catherine McGrath etc leading the way the future of homegrown country is looking very bright indeed.
One of the leading names on the scene right now is York singer/songwriter Twinnie. The triple-threat performer originally came onto the scene as an actress in Hollyoaks and later delved into the world of musical theatre with a string of West End appearances, but behind the scenes, she was always crafting on her music.
Two years ago after more than 10 years of making music and constantly looking for that one break in the industry, she was snapped up by BMG UK and since then the insanely talented artist hasn’t looked back. Releasing her hit EP ‘Better When I’m Drunk’ and a string of impressive singles, Twinnie has proven herself to be a real force within country music, with Nashville songwriters lining up to work with her on her debut LP ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ which drops early 2020.
With every live performance, the Northener delivers a soaring vocal combined with an effortless stage presence. She looks like Cheryl Cole, performs like Shania Twain but has the unmistakable voice of Twinnie.
And with the release of the breathtaking live version of ‘Lie To Me’ filmed in London, the impressive vocalist delivers a stunning vocal performance that will leave you in awe of her incredible range. Just listen out for that high note; a truly incredible moment.
2020 is set to be huge for the British artist, who will release her first album, tour across the country on her first headlining dates and will also perform at a number of festivals.
