It may have been a tough battle to the finish line, but we can all appreciate that both these artists (One Direction & Justin Bieber) made a huge splash in countries worldwide with their respective albums.
Pop band One Direction earned a #1 in their home country while Justin Bieber earned his #1 in the U.S. Vice versa, both Bieber and One Direction trailed behind each other!
In addition, Justin broke a flood of records including being the youngest male artist to secure 6 #1 albums in history on the Billboard 200 chart. He also had every single one of his albums songs debut on the U.K. charts!
The media may have had fun pinning these two huge acts but the fact of the matter is the amount of records they sell is crazy good especially in this day and age where unfortunately, records don’t sell as much unless you’re the mighty queen Adele.
Yes we know they have a massive teen following; though, that doesn’t mean others can’t enjoy their music. At the end of the day, appreciating and respecting music in any genre form is a slight must wouldn’t you agree?
You could be 39, 76, or 12 and still enjoy a good old Madonna record and that goes the same for a One Direction or a Justin Bieber song, album, etc.
