Youtuber Tyler Oakley joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Friday evening (March 4th).
He recounted his experience running into Lady Gaga on the red carpet for the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Despite the pair having crossed paths many times, the two had never been formally introduced. After introducing himself to the superstar, Gaga replied, “I’ve seen you; you’re on billboards.” The YouTube sensation described the encounter as “not embarrassing but just like– my queen knows who I am!”
Oakley later told of his time on a social media themed season of The Amazing Race. The 26-year-old admits that the time without his phone wasn’t that difficult–until Adele’s album dropped.
“No mater where I was in the world, I was asking the locals–not for like help or directions, I was like, ‘have you heard the Adele album?'”
Oakley starred on the shows 28th season alongside friend and fellow YouTuber, Korey Kuhl. The show airs on Fridays at 8PM on CBS.
Fallon and Oakley ended the interview with a hilarious Snapchat face swap, which Oakley deemed “horrifying.”
Oakley, with over eight million subscribers and 550 million views under his belt, is also an author. His book Binge is an autobiographical-esque book that was on the New York Times Best-Seller list. The 26-year-old also made a documentary about his world-tour, titled Snervous.
