R&B sensation Usher has seemingly begun a new chapter in his life, with media outlets reporting that the 45-year-old superstar sealed his love for longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, in a picturesque Las Vegas chapel wedding ceremony just days before headlining the Apple Music Halftime Show at Super Bowl LVIII.
Surrounded by close family and friends, including Usher’s mother, Jonnetta Patton, the couple exchanged vows, at the Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo officiated by Ronald Joseph Pokrywka.
Lydia Kanuga, a representative for the ‘Confessions’ singer, confirmed the news to the media, expressing the couple’s excitement and gratitude, saying: “We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family.”
“They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
Jennifer Goicoechea – a Senior Vice President of A&R at Epic Records – has been in a relationship with Usher since 2019.
Together, they welcomed their first child, Sovereign Bo Raymond, in 2020, followed by their son, Sire Castrello Raymond, in the following year.
Usher also shares two sons, Usher V (16) and Naviyd Ely (15), with ex-wife Tameka Foster, whom he was previously married to from 2007 to 2009.
Earlier in the same day, the eight-time Grammy-winning hitmaker captivated audiences with a sensational 15-minute halftime performance at Super Bowl 2024 in Allegiant Stadium.
It featured a medley of his iconic hits, spotlighting his undeniable talent and magnetic stage presence. Onstage collaborations with Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, and Lil Jon added to the spectacle.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated at Cathédrale Restaurant in the Aria Resort and Casino, hosting a lavish party sponsored by Rémy Martin.
Usher, adorned in a striking floor-length white fur coat, and Jennifer, elegant in an off-the-shoulder white pantsuit, epitomized sophistication as they embarked on this new phase of their lives.
Celebrities like Victoria Monét, Central Cee, and Tim Cook were among the guests at the after-party.
