Grease: Live is a live television event that premiered in America on Sunday, January 31st. The original musical was released in 1978 and is now a popular classic with all generations. Fortunately for Grease fans, the musical was brought back by their favorite modern-day stars. Unfortunately for actress Vanessa Hudgens, she suffered a tragic loss just 24 hours before her live performance.
I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.

Her role as Rizzo, a bold and honest member of the Pink Ladies, was wonderfully carried out. Her vocals were astounding and the rawness of her voice pleasantly pleased all the viewers.
Although she was not looked down upon, she was definitely underestimated. Many fans were fearful of how her performance would result in after what happened the day prior, but Vanessa showed up and excelled both vocally and emotionally.
Vanessa performed the infamous Grease tune of “There Are Worse Things I Could Do” with such power and emotion that shocked all the viewers to the core.
Fox uploaded all the performances after the live television special ended, and Vanessa’s solo performance went viral. The video is approaching 2 million views very quickly, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it hits the goal tonight – especially after the premiere of the live musical in the UK.
