British country crossover duo Ward Thomas have confirmed that they will be sharing a brand new single on Friday, May 1st. The track is the latest to be lifted off their forthcoming EP ‘The Space Between’ and follows the release of the poignant ‘Painted Legacy’ which dropped at the start of April.
The twin sisters who made chart history back in 2016 with their sophomore LP ‘Cartwheels’ when it topped the Official UK Album Chart making them the first-ever country act to have a number 1 record on the all-genre countdown, confirmed the news via an Instagram Live on Friday afternoon.
‘Hold Space’ was first premiered by Ward Thomas during their supporting slot on the James Blunt tour back in February and is all about being there for someone you love when they are struggling and going through tough times. Relatable, and timely the track is steeped in country traditions of heartfelt lyrics and soaring harmonies.
To celebrate its forthcoming single release, Catherine and Lizzy have shared a video of them performing the song in their back garden alongside their sweet horses, pony, and dogs.
The new single from Ward Thomas will be officially available to download and stream from next Friday via WTW Music.
