Ward Thomas Nominated For Two UK Country Music Awards

2016 was absolutely massive for UK country music duo Ward Thomas. Their sophomore album ‘Cartwheels‘ became the first ever country album from a British act to reach number 1 on the Official UK Album Chart, their single ‘Guilty Flowers‘ was the first song from a Brit country artist to be played on BBC Radio 1, they completed a sold-out tour of the UK and Ireland, and headlined a number of festival dates amongst many more incredible achievements.

And this year has seen them have three consecutive singles A-Play-Listed on BBC Radio 2, perform their biggest headlining show to date with a sold-out show at the O2 Sheperds Bush Empire in London as part of their Cartwheels Tour 2017, they have a number of key festival dates lined up, and will open for US country music legend Miranda Lambert during her August UK Highway Vagabond tour and will also be supporting her during a gig in Holland on August 16th.

Along with all this exciting stuff coming up, Ward Thomas have now been nominated for two awards at this years UK Country Music Awards. The 23-year-old twin sisters have been nominated for UK Country Duo Of The Year, and UK Country Album Of The Year!
