As the momentum of the UK Country music scene continues to gather major momentum and grow at a rapid rate, a new indoor festival celebrating the genre will be taking place this September.
The inaugural, annual British Country Music Festival will take place across the weekend of September 13-15th at the Winter Gardens indoor complex in Blackpool and will see a whole host of homegrown and international acts taking to the five stages to perform.
An estimated 100 artists will take to the stages across the weekend as the British Country scene gets to celebrate its fastest growing genre with yet another incredible line-up of artists all pushing the genre to new and exciting heights.
The first wave of artists have today (March 11th) been announced and it has been confirmed that co-headlining the festival will be UK record makers Ward Thomas who recently picked up the coveted CMA Jeff Walker Global Artist award in honour of their widespread musical appeal, US sweetheart and official adopted Brit Sarah Darling, and fast rising Irish singer/songwriter Catherine McGrath.
Other acts announced for the impressive bill include include Laura Oakes, Megan O’Neill, The Adelaides, Worry Dolls, Blair Dunlop, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra, Danny McMahon and Jake Morrell.
Along with incredible live music from outstanding Country talent, the British Country Musical Festival also boasts an exciting lights theme; with neon and shining lights running as a sub theme, this is undoubtedly going to be the place to party as the traditional festival season starts to come to a close. More artists will be announced in the coming months.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now, with a second batch scheduled for April.
