Alex Aiono shows us how to move on from a toxic relationship in the music video for his latest single, ‘Question’.
Directed by Hamish Stephenson and choreographed by Supple Nam, the video highlights the various stages of Alex’s on screen relationship, which is more destructive than it is loving. Speaking about the song in our recent interview with him, Alex said: “‘Question’…well I like to call it a celebration. I don’t know if you’ve been in a relationship where you get broken up with, but I know that feeling of being broken up with and you kind of feel unwanted and sad, you feel like you want that person back.
“But then that day comes where you’re like, “wait, I feel good, I’m happy and I’m better”, and you meet someone else and start talking to them and they make you happy. Then that person who broke up with you comes back to you and is like “give me another shot”, so it’s questioning that moment where you get to look them in the eyes and get that feeling of, not necessarily revenge but, of “I’ve moved on, I’m happy and I’m telling you this is how I feel.”
The video for ‘Question’ was shot in London in one day, after Alex completed his first headline run of sold out European club dates. Similarly to his video for previous single, ‘Work The Middle’, ‘Question’ features a lot of slick dance routines. However, when we recently spoke to Alex, he said: “‘Question’ dives a little bit deeper conceptually with the song and the lyrics, we took the video just a little further. I’m not talking about an Emmy-award winning film, but it’s definitely got more of a storyline to it and a little more of an artsier take rather than just cool dancing shots.”

Alex will be heading out on tour this summer. He will be supporting Sabrina Carpenter on her De-tour across North America during July and August.
