While we’re still grieving about the fact that Ben Clark didn’t make it to this year’s X Factor live shows by consuming inordinate amounts of chocolate and wine, he clearly chose another (and probably better) coping mechanism.
Jumping straight back into the studio and shooting a rather intense video, yesterday Ben treated the world to his first music video since leaving the X Factor. And boy, is it a good one.
The video has everything you’d expect with the power ballad that is ‘This Is Me’: some stunning shots of nature, a beautiful female love interest and Ben staring forlornly into the distance. Combine that with Ben’s deep voice and yeah, we’re pretty sold.
‘This Is Me’ will feature on Ben’s first EP, which will be available for download on iTunes early next year. In the meantime, you might want to entertain yourself by roaming around Ben’s Youtube Channel, which contains some rather amazing covers (we strongly recommend his rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’).
