Electronic duo Marian Hill, (yes, duo!) are artists on the rise and defintely ones to look out for. Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd are making it big! Their song “Back to Me” featuring Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui, was a hit. Now, they are set to promote their newest single, “Down”, which has gotten much praise since its feature in the Apple Airpods commercial and their performance on Jimmy Fallon. Not to mention, “Down” has also been the most Shazamed song for weeks! The music duo has just released their official music video for the track and you can check it out below:
The video takes you on an elevator trip (with much emphasis on the word trip) alongside Sam and Jeremy of Marian Hill. It begins with the two in an elevator lavished with flowers. Just as the track begins with that soulful piano beat, the two slowly begin descending in the elevator as another scene of them in the following elevator box pops into view. The repeated scenes of them going down in the elevator plays fun at the track’s title.
Just as the beat drops, the dynamic of the elevator scenes change with it. The person in the elevator rapidly changes between Sam or Jeremy, the elevator goes faster, and the angles of the camera begin to wander all over. The scenes go back to normal as the chorus goes back to the bridges and picks right back up to the trippy dynamic as the chorus picks up again.
