Four-piece Wild Youth – comprising of members David Whelan (vocals/guitars), Callum McAdam (drums), Conor O’Donohoe (keyboard/vocals) and Ed Porter (guitar/vocals) – have unveiled the music video for ‘Close,’ a track taken off their recently released debut EP.
Taking to their official Instagram account to share news of the video’s release with their followers, Wild Youth explained that ‘Close’ was one of their ‘personal favourite tracks.’
The music video depicts their journey right from when the band first started, truly showcasing how the band have grown over the years since their formation. Further, viewers are given a behind-the-scenes insight into the band, with segments both on and off stage, showcasing not only how hard the boys work, but the strong unbreakable friendship bond that exists between them, a theme which continually recurs throughout the video.

Wild Youth are one of Ireland’s current success stories. Their single ‘Can’t Move On,’ released in 2018, has to date racked up over one million streams on Spotify, with the single following the previous successes of ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘Lose Control.’ The band also recently headlined a sold-out show at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
At the beginning of 2019, the quartet released their new single ‘Making Me Dance’ and exceptional debut EP, titled ‘The Last Goodbye,’ featuring five original tracks. The band are currently supporting The Script on their UK tour and will complete their headline tour in Ireland next month.
