On Friday the 3rd of July over 50,000 people flooded the gates of Wireless Festival for what was set to be a wild weekend- if previous years were anything to go by. And it did not disappoint!

With rapping sensation Drake headlining the main stage on Friday, people poured in to see him back in the UK on his Worst Behaviour. The Arena was packed with people pushing to get close to the global – megastar.

The atmosphere was electric and as soon as he walked on stage. Screams erupted across the arena. His set was unbelievable, performing classics such as Started from the Bottom and Hold on We’re going home, and some new tracks off his mix time that dropped earlier this year and became a top trend on twitter.

Other acts that hit the stage were up and coming hip-hop duo Krept & Konan who’s new track Freak of the Week is currently taking the charts by storm!

Saturday the city awoke for another day of music and madness and the weather was perfect. In the 28-degree heat everyone was in the festival spirit with neon paints, headbands and the bum bag even made a reapperance! Saturday evening saw Kendrick Lamar shut the stage down followed by big-time Swedish DJ and record producer Avicii. The visual effects lit up the sky and everyone was dancing, the atmosphere was electric.

The city never sleeps and Sunday was no exception. Some would argue they even saved the best till last. Said to be the best female rapper and having recently collected Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and the Viewer’s Choice Award at the BETs last week; Nicki Minaj produced a killer performance.

Singer-songwriter and Voice coach Jessie J also rocked the main stage with her amazing voice and hits from her current tour Sweet Talker. She also looked AMAZING showing off her never-ending legs in a pair of high-waisted black crochet shorts and matching bra. GO JESSIE!

What a weekend and what a line-up! It was great kicking off the summer at Finsbury Park- I had a blast. Wireless Fest 2015 kicked ass! Until next year…
