After the first movie slayed the box office records, taking the lead away from Deadpool, Warner Bros has confirmed at the San Diego Comic Con that Wonder Woman 2 will officially be happening.

Warner Bros have revealed that the sequel will still be set in the past, sometime between World War 1 and present day. The sequel will also be set in the 1980s and we will see Diana take on the Soviet Union in the dying days of the Cold War.

It has also been reported that Chris Pine will be returning as Steve Trevor, which will definitely be rather strange to comprehend as spoiler alert we pretty much saw him die a fiery death in a plane explosion. But who’s really complaining?!

The ladies have recently been taking over from male leads, showing some much needed girl power. Wonder Woman is the third biggest Warner Bros movie of all time, following behind The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. It is also the highest-grossing live action movie by a female director. Who’s laughing now boys?

Are we all excited for the sequel? Have you watched the first one? Let us know your thoughts over at @CelebMix!
