Zayn might have just dropped one of the songs of the summer with Timbaland. “Too Much” is the title of the song and it might be too much for us to handle.
The song has a perfect mixture of Timbaland’s signature electric soul beats and Zayn’s tortured and troubled love lyrics. “I took your digits a while back/ I think we fucked in the flashback/ While in my mind kind of sidetracked,” Zayn sings dreamily over a pulsing beat, mellow keys and a haunting falsetto ad-lib.
The song was produced by Timbaland, who co-wrote the song with Zayn, Angel Lopez and Federico Vindver of Timbaland productions.
Timbaland comes in after the verse singing “Must be an addiction/ I wanted it all, didn’t expect it to fall/ Must be an affliction/ I wanted to call, but I didn’t call/ Now it’s keeping me up at night.”
The song is Zayn’s latest single leading up to his solo album, Mind of Mine.
