From Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez to Alessia Cara, Zedd has a track record for collaborating with some of music’s biggest names. It looks like the DJ is about to add a seven-time Grammy winner to that list.
Zedd sent a tweet to John Mayer on Sunday, asking if the pair can get in the studio to craft some music together. The “Still Feel Like Your Man” crooner quickly responded, reassuring that he is “down.”

Zedd has previously gushed over his dreams to work with Mayer. The “Clarity” hitmaker revealed during a 2015 AMP Radio interview that he would love to collaborate with the 39-year-old.
“I could probably give you 100 names if I look at your playlist right now,” Zedd spilled when asked who he has high hopes of linking up with in the studio. Adele is an artist I’ve always wanted to work with, Ed Sheeran is another artist… I would love to do anything, honestly, just because I love [Adele’s] voice. John Mayer is another artist I recently got in touch with.”
Mayer recently returned to the music limelight, debuting his 7th studio album The Search for Everything on Friday. The singer-songwriter is currently embarking on a North American tour in support of his new record and will also accompany band Dead and Company on the road this summer. As for Zedd, the producer is gearing up to release him and Cara’s music video for “Stay” this coming Tuesday.
