Zendaya launches her very own shoe line, named “Daya.” Zendaya worked on the project with her longtime stylist, Law Roach.
Shoppers can buy anything from stilettos to sandals! The shoes are now available on Nordstrom.com and range from $70-$110.
Zendaya revealed details about her collection to Glamour. She says that all the women in her life inspired her to create the shoe line. Her nieces are at an age where they want to wear heels for school dances. This reminded her of the time when she wanted to buy shoes for her own school events, but couldn’t afford “Louboutins.” She adds that she would buy other shoes, but “they seemed cheap and felt like a knockoff.”
This gave her the idea to create shoes that were both affordable and of good quality. Zendaya shared to Elle, “I don’t want people thinking, “I got the look for less.” I want them thinking, “I got the look!“
Regarding her partnership with Law Roach, Zendaya says that it felt right to work with Law because he’s been her stylist since she was fourteen. In her interview with Glamour, she states, “It’s been awesome because he’s someone who keeps it real, and I like to have people around me who are very honest.”
