We’re fully counting down the days until November 18, when DNCE finally release their self-titled debut album. A few weeks ago, the band announced their latest single ‘Body Moves’, which was instantly available for download if you pre-ordered their album. As well as being a bop, the track got fans hot under the collar thanks to its steamy music video.
Today, DNCE continue to ramp up excitement for the album with the release of instant grat track ‘Blown’. This was one of the most hotly anticipated tracks on the album, especially after much teasing from the band over the past few days. We can assure you that the track does not disappoint!
‘Blown’ features American hip hop artist Kent Jones, and from the off, it’s a funky piece of perfection which is guaranteed to get you moving your feet. It’s got an old-school, sixties vibe to it, but is made current by the addition of Kent’s slick rap. There is no doubt that the catchy beat is going to be ingrained in your mind for the rest of the day.
As far as collaborations go, ‘Blown’ works really well. It’s also completely different to DNCE’s previous tracks, including ‘Cake By The Ocean’ and ‘Toothbrush’. It shows us a whole new side to the band which we’re loving!
Take a listen to ‘Blown’ below.
It’s safe to say that so far, DNCE’s album is proving to be an eclectic mix of tracks. Whilst November 18 isn’t too far away, we hope that the band will continue to unveil snippets of the album in the run up to the release.
