Ed Sheeran announces Gala Dinner Performance

It’s been almost a year since Ed Sheeran took a social media break alongside his break from releasing music (cries), but now he’s BACK. Well, sort of.

Today it was revealed that Ed is due to perform at a charity Gala Dinner in November – his first public performance since taking a break.

Ed’s upcoming performance will take place at a charity event for EACH (East Anglia Children’s Hospices) at London’s Natural History Museum this November.

Ed commented, “As an ambassador of EACH, I am enormously proud and excited to be joining them for their Gala Dinner Event at the Natural History Museum on 30th November.”

He added, “I’m looking forward to performing and being part of what will be a wonderful evening of fundraising for a new hospice in Norfolk.”

Talented and charitable – what more do you want?

Aside from brief appearances at the 2016 Grammy Awards, Johnny McDaid’s wedding and in the movie Bridget Jones’ Baby (erm), Ed has been lying pretty low this year.

We know he’s still been recording music, collaborating with the likes of OneRepublic and working on album number three, so we’re super excited for his return. Hopefully this performance is the start of more new content from Ed. Prepare yourselves.

You better get buying your tickets for this Gala thing then, but it’ll set you back a mere £250. Eek.

This is by no means the first time Ed has set out to help a good cause. Only recently did he donate a bunch of his old clothes to the St. Elizabeth Hospice charity shop in his hometown of Framlingham in Suffolk.

What do you reckon? Are you excited for Ed’s return? And what about those album no.3 rumours? (We’re so tired of waiting, argh). Send us a tweet over to @CelebMix.
