Troye Sivan, after a long week of battling sickness, performed in Boston, MA and Celebmix was in the audience!
Troye brought an insane energy to the stage, excited to be back for the fans after the break. Only adding to the energy, the crowd was the second largest to which Troye had ever performed. The fans were bursting with anticipation waiting for Troye, and he fed off this to put on one incredible show.
He came out on stage and opened with his song “BITE” featured both on his album and on the “WILD” EP that came out this past fall. The audience bounced to the bass drops bringing the energy to the first high of the night. Breakaway hit “for him.” provoked similar bouts of dancing and screams from the audience.
In between songs, Troye would talk to the fans and he could hardly contain himself, swearing occasionally, completely caught up in the raging aura of synths, neon, and screams. Title track from the EP, “WILD,” brought the next wave of insane pandemonium as the sold-out crowd sang along to every single lyric. His stage was a tribute to his full-length album title “Blue Neighbourhood” with glowing outlines of houses that would radiate color all over the stage and fans.
He added a cover of Alessia Cara’s hit “Here” to the set of his music, adding a sleek and sexy side to the show as well as something unique to the live shows that cannot be heard anywhere else. This was followed by an acoustic rendition of his debut song “Happy Little Pill” which had the crowd swaying and listening to Troye’s impressive vocal stylings.
He ended the show with lead single “YOUTH” from his album and the crowd reached the highest point of energy for the night, dancing, singing, and vibing to the brilliance that is Troye Sivan.
