Vanessa White is kicking off a new year of music in style with brand new track, ‘Good Good’.
Written by Vanessa and produced by rising producer Mkulu, ‘Good Good’ is a sensuous slow jam which oozes slick RnB vibes. Once again, her soulful vocals take centre stage and it’s hard not to be taken in by Vanessa’s charm. ‘Good Good’ is the first offering from her upcoming second EP, Chapter Two.
Opening up about ‘Good Good’ to The FADER, who premiered the track, Vanessa said: “It’s a song about being honest with your sexuality and going for what you want without holding back and not having to listen to other people’s opinions. I’ve always been that way and most probably always will be. I’m not afraid to be sexual. I think that’s the Scorpio in me. With relationships, people always have something to say but I always prefer to find out for myself rather than listening to others, and the song touches on that.
“I’ve grown so much as a writer over the last year and I think you can really feel that in ‘Good Good’. In the past I’ve been worried about showing this side of me in my music and have even been scared to be this free in the studio but I’ve learnt the less you care and the more open you are, the more real and relatable the end product is. So no more sugar coating! The Chapter Two EP is my most honest music ever. It’s so personal and draws from my own experiences so I can’t wait for everyone to hear this new phase.”
Vanessa’s Chapter Two EP , featuring ‘Good Good’, is expected this spring. It follows on from her captivating debut EP Chapter One, which garnered incredible support last year. The former Saturdays member has been grafting hard in the studio, and has been working with a whole host of incredible producers and musicians. These include PRGRSN, Wizzy Wow, Shakka, Musicman Ty (Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, P Diddy) and Snakehips.
2017 looks set to be another promising year for Vanessa White as she continues to rise and make her mark on the industry.
