Today happens to be quite a special day for our favourite alt-pop band from Los Angeles, as Hey Violet celebrates 2 years of being a band and dominating the world (one day at a time, of course). There is quite a lot of success for the band to celebrate today, so let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we?

As we all know, the band got their big break on March 24th, 2015 when Aussie band 5 Seconds of Summer, signed Hey Violet to their record label Hi or Hey Records. The band’s road to success, fandemonium, and stardom only kicked off from there and within months, they were the talk of the town.

They’ve dominated multiple charts with both of their EPs (I Can Feel It & Brand New Moves) and singles, in countless countries around the world. They’ve opened for 5 Seconds of Summer not once but TWICE on tour, and even opened for them at their headline show at Madison Square Garden (the world’s famous arena, might we add). They’ve snagged countless photo shoots with world famous music magazines (does Alternative Press ring a bell?).

They’ve performed at a couple radio stations and pre-jingle ball shows (no biggie). They’ve just announced the dates to their headline tour in North America, and are preparing to go back on the road in March (you bet we’ve already bought tickets). They’ve managed to get a banging new bassist that goes by the name of Iain Shipp (we’re his number one fans). And lastly, we’ve heard their smash hit single “Guys My Age” play on the radio about a trillion times (no, seriously).

We think it’s safe to say that Hey Violet have definitely gained some mega-stardom over the last 2 years, and for that we want to congratulate them on yet another successful year as a band. For not only stealing our hearts, but stealing the hearts of many fans around the world with their music, their talent, their passion, and for them just being them.

They’ve touched and stolen hearts, they’ve changed lives, and they’ve won a lot of people over with their amazing personalities. What can’t this band do?

To celebrate what a magical day today is, the fans have taken to Twitter to trend “#2YearsOfHeyViolet”, to show their appreciation and love for the band.
