5 Actors Who Could Be The Next James Bond

With Daniel Craig being very publicly negative on his feelings towards playing Britain’s most famous Secret Service Agent, it would appear very likely that we are due a new 007. With Craig being quoted as saying he would ‘rather slash my wrists’ than reprise his role as Bond, that means we need to speculate on who could be the next actor (or actress) to play suit-wearing spy, James Bond.

    1. Michael Fassbender

5 Actors Who Could Be The Next Bond 2

Perhaps the most obvious choice would be Michael Fassbender. Unquestionably one the best actors of the past ten years, Fassbender would make complete sense and it would perhaps be one of those rare occasions when the internet doesn’t go into a fit of rage when there is a big casting announcement. He is the traditional pick for Bond in many ways. White, tall, brown hair and he just has that presence of sophistication and class about him. However, with his inclusion in huge franchises like X-Men and Assassins Creed there could be a hint of overexposure of the actor. Actors like Liam Neeson have seen this happen to them as all of their projects just seem to merge into one. It would be a real shame if this were to happen to Fassbender.

    2. Emily Blunt

If Michael Fassbender is the obvious choice then Emily Blunt could be considered the opposite. A female James Bond? What? Absurd! But calm down, ignorant person. It actually makes sense. Blunt is well versed in action as her C.V. boasts leading roles in both ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ and ‘Sicario’ so she’s no pushover. As well as clear acting talent can you not just imagine her delivering the line ‘The name’s Bond… Jane Bond’ and loving every second of it. We can. Perhaps a bold choice but Blunt could certainly pull it off.

    3. Idris Elba

5 Actors Who Could Be The Next Bond 4

It’s hard to talk about the next Bond without Idris Elba’s name popping up, with the actor himself reportedly getting sick of the conversation. A black James Bond? What? Absurd! Well hello again, ignorant person. If you actually judge Elba on his acting ability then there is no question he is capable of being the next Bond. Suaveness just radiates from his very being and it would be absolute dynamite up on the big screen. Daniel Craig proved Bond could be blonde and Elba could be the man to prove he can be black.

    4. Tom Hiddleston

This man just needs to be in a Bond film. He has to be. If not as Bond, which he would completely nail – just watch ‘The Night Manager’ if you need convincing – then have him play a Bond villain. He’s certainly proven himself as a villain with his performances as ‘Loki’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so why not? Hiddleston would own either of the roles and was just born to appear in the franchise in one way or another.

    5. James McAvoy

His name is James. Like, he’s actually called James for real. Need more proof? He’s Scottish as well. Sean Connery was Scottish and he was an incredible James Bond. And he wasn’t even called James! Just think of how good someone who was Scottish and called James would be. Scary isn’t it. James McAvoy… It’s fate.
