Just yesterday, the 5 Seconds of Summer boys made their fans watch paint dry. Literally. For two hours. By the end, the Australian foursome confirmed that their first single off of their second album (potentially titled something with “The New Broken Scene”) is “She’s Kinda Hot.”
Although fans have to wait until Friday to hear the song and watch the lyric video for the first time, a performance isn’t too far off.
One day after announcing their single, Luke Hemmings (birthday boy!), Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford have been confirmed to be performing at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. That means they’re joining a lineup that already includes Little Mix. This sounds like our type of award show.
In addition to performing, 5SOS is up for a couple awards themselves — Choice Music Group: Male, Fashion Choice Male Hottie, Choice International Artist, Choice Summer Music Star: Group, and Choice Summer Tour.
The Teen Choice Awards air live on FOX on Sunday, August 16 at 8 p.m.
