The Script: A Year In Review

Here at CelebMix, we are taking a look back at the phenomenal year that some of our favourite artists have had.

The Script – made up of members Danny, Mark and Glen – have had an exceptionally successful year, and we take a look back at some of their many successful highlights from 2017!

Fans of the trio were eagerly anticipating hearing new music, following the release of their fourth studio album ‘No Sound Without Silence.’

Without a doubt, The Script did not let fans down, with the release of several singles and fifth studio album ‘Freedom Child.’

Back in July, to coincide with the release of single ‘Rain,’ The Script unveiled the video for the single. Described as a ‘feel-good summer tune,’ the release of ‘Rain’ represented a new sound for the band, also setting the standard for the release of their album which followed.

‘Rain’ built the anticipation for ‘Freedom Child,’ which was released at the beginning of September. The album featured tracks such as ‘Wonders,’ ‘Written In The Scars’ and ‘Rock The World’ – among many others.

The Script also announced their UK and Ireland headline tour for 2018, which will see them performing at arenas around the country, with support from Ella Eyre for the UK segment of the tour.

Following their exciting tour announcement, The Script announced a string of shows right around the world. For a full list of tour dates and to buy tickets for their 2018 shows, click here.

At the end of November, the band unveiled the incredibly moving video for ‘Arms Open,’ whereby they partnered with organisation ‘A Sense Of Home.’ The charity defines their work as a definitive ‘call to action to the community.’ Community volunteers also work together to create homes for youths who have been fostered.

The Script encouraged their fans to share the video wide and ‘proud with arms open.’ This video was branded by the charity as ‘remarkable, powerful and inspirational.’
