British pop-band Absnt Mind bring the vibes in a MAJOR way today (April 25th) with the release of their latest single ‘Wardrobe’ – an insatiable R&B / pop bop inspired by Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Bed Chem’.
With its concept initially first conceived by band member Ashton as he spent an afternoon people watching on the Piccadilly Line, the group as whole then developed the tracks cheeky lyrics before taking them to songwriter / producer Frank Colucci (TENDER, Sea Girls, Alfie Jukes) to collaboratively finish off what they describe as their “favourite song to date”.
Commenting on the single, Ashton says: “Opening the new season of Absnt Mind, ‘Wardrobe’ is bringing the vibes we have all been needing! We made this tune with a spin on how it feels to know your ex is wearing your style but for someone else. With Sabrina’s ‘Bed Chem’ on loop, the inspo came on the way home from an Amie Blu gig with a dead phone and nothing to do but people-watch on the Piccadilly line. A girl got on with the flyest jumper, and it sparked this concept of your clothes living on with someone you aren’t with anymore – bittersweet that you made their swag but for someone new.”

With their ever-growing army of loyal fans – now known as ‘Absntees’ – taking over their sold-out London Bush Hall headline gig last month, Absnt Mind have already sold out shows in Belfast and Manchester in 2025, and will headline further sold out dates at Belfast The Mac on June 13th and Dublin Academy Green Room on June 15th, having already upgraded Dublin due to popular demand.
Later on in the summer, the group will Main Stage at Pride in Brighton on August 2nd, and Bear Grylls’ Gone Wild Festival on August 10th.
