Adam Lambert kicks off a brand new era today with the psychedelic 70’s rock inspired ‘New Eyes’.
Written by Adam and Paris Carney, and produced by Jamie Sierota, the track explores the discovery and the rebirth of hope. “I’d be so blind without your new eyes,” Adam grooves over the intoxicating guitar riff.
Speaking about the track, Adam stated: “I wanted my first single to reflect my current state of mind and to bring listeners into a romantic, earthy vibe. New Eyes is a love letter to innocence and to finding new passions.”
Alongside the track, a music video for ‘New Eyes’ has also been unveiled. Directed by Miles & AJ, the visual tells a hypnotic tale which perfectly matches the vibe of the song. With a ‘to be continued’ message at the end, we can expect a follow up in the near future.

‘New Eyes’ is the first single to be taken from Adam’s forthcoming album, Velvet. The track follows on from Adam’s February release, ‘Feel Something’, which gave us a taste of what we could expect from the new era of music from the multi-talented performer.
Adam will be performing ‘New Eyes’ for the very first time this weekend during the American Idol live finale. Tune in on Sunday (May 19) at 8e|5p on ABC.
